Gravity
Gravity balancing machines are often referred to as static balancing machines. It relies on the gravity of the rotor itself to detect the amount of static unbalance. If the amount of rotor imbalance placed on the two horizontal rails, the heavy moment on the shaft causes the rotor to roll on the rail until the unbalance reaches its lowest position.
The balance rotor is placed on a support supported by a hydrostatic bearing with a mirror embedded therein. When there is no imbalance in the rotor, the beam from the source is reflected by the mirror and projected onto the origin of the polarity of the imbalance indicator. If there is an unbalance in the rotor, the rotor bracket will tilt under the unbalanced weight moment, and the mirror under the bracket will also tilt and deflect the reflected beam, causing the beam point on the polar coordinate indicator to leave the origin. According to the coordinate position of the light spot deflection, the magnitude and position of the unbalance amount can be obtained.

Centrifugal force
The centrifugal balancer detects the unbalance amount of the support according to the support vibration generated by the rotor imbalance amount or the vibration force acting on the support in the case where the rotor rotates. According to the number of calibration planes, it can be divided into a single-sided balancer and a double-sided balancer.
The single-sided balancing machine can only detect the amount of unbalance on the plane (static imbalance). Although it is detected while the rotor is rotating, it is still a static balancer.
The double-sided balancing machine detects the dynamic imbalance and can also detect the static imbalance, which is usually called a dynamic balancing machine.
The centrifugal force balancing machine can be divided into a soft bearing balancing machine and a hard bearing balancing machine according to different bearing characteristics. The balance speed is higher than the natural frequency of the rotor-support system and is called a soft-bearing balancer. The balance stiffness of such a balancing machine is small, and the signal detected by the sensor is proportional to the vibration displacement of the support. The balance speed is lower than the natural frequency of the rotor-support system. It is called a hard-bearing balance machine. The balance of this type of balancer is large, and the signal detected by the sensor is proportional to the vibration force of the support.

Balance machine performance index
