Basic concept of field dynamic balance
1. Single side dynamic balance
Generally speaking, when the rotor diameter is 7 ~ 10 times larger than its length, it is usually treated as a single-sided rotor.In this case, in order to restore the rotor center of mass that deviates from the axis to the axis position, it is only necessary to place an equal torque correction mass at any reverse position of the diameter of the center of mass.This process is called "one-sided equilibrium".
2. Double-sided dynamic balance
For rotors with diameters less than 7-10 times the length, they are usually treated as double-sided rotors.In a double-sided rotor, if two equal masses are arranged at both ends of the axis and the axis is symmetric, then the rotor does not have the problem that the center of mass deviates from the axis, that is, static balance.However, once the two masses are rotated, the centrifugal force generated by each of them forms a force couple. The inertia axis and the rotation axis no longer coincide, resulting in violent vibration of the bearing.Or the inertia axis is inclined to the rotation axis, and the two masses are asymmetric, causing the center of mass to deviate from the axis, which is the most common imbalance in the double-sided rotor.This imbalance must be eliminated by vibration measurements during rotation and the placement of the correction mass on at least two planes.This process is called "two-sided balance".
